As a Sr Cost Accountanton my team, you’ll be a key part of our global Finance organization, delivering accurate and timely cost reporting by analyzing financial data from eight of our manufacturing facilities around the world, striving to optimize business decisions and drive cost reduction. This opportunity is based in Appleton Group’s largest manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. This role will report to our Cost Accounting Leader with guidance from our Controller.
In this role, your responsibilities will be
Support the development and maintenance of annual standard costs for all products. Give to month-end activities, such as inventory reconciliation, journal entries, and investigating plant variances. Perform monthly variance analysis on cost of goods sold, raw materials, labor and overhead accounts. Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Be responsible for our annual physical inventory activities across multiple locations. Support internal and external audits by promptly providing the requested deliverables to auditors. Identify and validate cost reduction opportunities. Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to prepare the excess and obsolete reserve, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Readily distinguishing between what’s relevant and what’s unimportant to make sense of complex situations. You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations Remaining energized and effective when faced with ambiguity and uncertainty. You relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography. You try multiple times using multiple methods to find the right solution.Who you are:

For this role, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field of study. +5 years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Experience working in an ERP system such as, Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards Fluent in both English Willingness and ability to travel globally, up to 10% annually.
