Role: API IntegrationEngineer - R01541310Functional Area: PPE Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent Location: México Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced API Integration and Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test data management, API development, and system integration. The role involves developing, testing, and deploying RESTful APIs using Azure API Management (APIM) and ensuring seamless integration with frontend applications, backend systems, and third-party services. You will be responsible for managing API endpoints, debugging issues, and monitoring API performance to ensure optimal functionality. Key Responsibilities: API Development & Integration: Develop and deploy RESTful APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).Integrate APIs with backend systems, databases, and third-party services.Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration with Azure-hosted web or On-Prem applications.Ensure proper management of APIs, including exposure of endpoints and troubleshooting any associated issues.Monitor and analyze API performance using available tools, ensuring high availability and reliability. Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) to validate end-to-end functionality of APIs.Utilize Postman, SoapUI, and Selenium for testing APIs, including automated and manual testing.Implement Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.Conduct accessibility testing using JAWS to ensure APIs and applications meet accessibility standards.Manage test data effectively to ensure comprehensive coverage during testing phases. Test Management: Utilize Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment of APIs.Manage and track testing progress using Zephyr, ensuring all test cases and scenarios are documented and executed.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing alignment with development and business objectives.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in developing and managing RESTful APIs using Azure API Management (APIM). Strong proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and Selenium. In-depth knowledge of BDD and TDD methodologies, with hands-on experience in Cucumber. Expertise in System Integration Testing (SIT) and Test Data Management. Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with accessibility testing tools like JAWS. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve API issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience with Zephyr for test management. Certification in Azure or related technologies is a plus.-
