The role of the Bar Manager
The candidate will make key operational management decisions in the resort's beverage program. We are looking for a candidate who can create a memorable Four Seasons experience by building strong relationships with our guests.
Essential Functions
Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all bar employees to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation. Cocktail menu creation and implementation. Responsible of all bar’s beverage Cost Drive beverage revenues in all outlets and implement strategies to achieve budgets Ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, customers and group contacts. Describe and ensure the quality of all Beverages terms, ingredients and preparation methods, as well as provide expert wine and spirits knowledge in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive breakfast, lunch or dinner experience. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control. Organize and conduct staff training and food & wine tastings Ensure continuous improvement in service quality, operational efficiency, and employee retention and satisfactionKnowledge and Skills
Education:
College Degree in Tourism or related to the Food & Beverage fieldExperience:
3+ years bar management experience, preferably in a hotel or luxury environment. Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage (wine, beer and spirits). Exceptional knowledge of tequila and mezcal is mandatory.Skills and Abilities:
Requires reading, writing and speaking proficiency in English and Spanish - additional language skills encouraged Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment. Knowledge in OpenTable, Opera or any related software’s is highly desirable Understand and familiar with quality standards and service standards of the hotel. Highest level of integrity and transparency Apply an ethical approach to the outcome of situations. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams. Reasonable problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills Work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner Elevated Leadership skills and experience in a multicultural environmentWhat to Expect:
