AboutUs

As a mobile appssoftware engineer you’ll share ownership of ourdevelopment

infrastructure, including (but notlimited to) our iOS and Android apps,our

website, our BSS/OSS and CRM customerbilling, relationship, and provisioning

software,our Node.js mobile app server architecture, and all otherintegrations

and dev stacks weutilize.

Day-to-day, there’s a good chance you’llhave more than a few opportunities to show off your creativity,finding solutions for complex problems and leadingour

team around or through the many roadblocksthat exist in the bureaucratic world oftelecommunications.


KeyResponsibilities

●Leading ourdevelopment efforts from conception to deployment,working

with engineering, product, and design toconstantly rollout updates and

maintain our apps,website, and CRM.

●Work with leadership and yourdev team colleagues to support building

out ourdevelopment team, while identifying our next dev phasesand

roadmaps.

●Making importantarchitectural decisions towards the developmentstack

and processes for the team and oursystems.

●Assisting all members of the productand engineering team to implement,

solve, andcreate amazing user first experiences throughout ourproduct

offerings.

●Helpingdefine and implement our development team’sday-to-day

schedules through stand-ups, sprintplanning meetings, retrospectives,

anddemos.

●The “go-to-person” for our technicalteams to rely on for leadership,

decisionsmaking, and information.

●Solving problemsthrough creativity and communication. Our teamsare

remote and a large part of mastering thisrole will be to improve and help

build ourcommunication across teams andtimezones.


Keylanguages andSkills

(Swift, Kotlin,TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js, Yaf PHP, and mongoDB) isgreat.

●Our apps rely heavily on Apple Pay andGoogle Pay to provide a seamless

customerexperience, so familiarity with those APIs, pastexperience

building customer onboarding andbilling-focused apps, and knowledgeof

merchant-initiated variable-amount recurringbilling is beneficial.

●Knowledgeable with agilesoftware development practices such as

Kanban andScrum.

●Experiencing managing or working to helplead a technical team in an

agile environment —if you’ve done this in the early stages at astartup

this would be immenselyvaluable.

●You’ll need to juggle, most likelyearly and almost certainly often, plentyof

projects, tasks, deadlines, fires, ideas, andpotentially even a technological

crisis ortwo10. Being able to zoom in on what matters, even whenthere

might be a lot of noise, and stayingfocused through at least some level

of sustainedchaos will be a really good skillset to have

Experience supporting cross-functional teams,and understanding the

value of diverse input fromstakeholders, with a focus on nurturinggrowth

and instilling confidence in the team bysupporting their growthand

development.

●Demonstratedability to manage through organizational complexityand

ambiguity, show adaptability in the face ofchance, and experience

working with teams in afast paced environment.

●Critical decision-makingabilities, takes ownership to respond toproblems

promptly, with diligent follow-throughon areas of responsibility.

●Ability to liaiseeffectively with other departments and leadershipto

enhance internal systems, policies, andprocesses.

●Experience working in a Lean-Agileenvironment for projects and software

developmentis key.

●Experience working in a unionenvironment is an asset.
