Carry out the necessary actions to be in compliance in the control and inventory of machinery and equipment in accordance with current laws. As well as registration and analysis of information in the Prisma system, coordination with the customs broker to perform the process of justification of pediments to customs, coordinate meetings with the areas involved to resolve findings that affect the department, support Certification VAT, AEO, CTPAT.

At Emerson Tool, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Import-Export Specialis to join our team in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

As an Import-Export Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring and maintaining compliance with Mexican and American Laws, Regulations, and Regulations. 
 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Import invoices for machinery and equipment, import and export of raw materials and finished products.

Capture invoices in the Annex system. You must first analyze the information to detect discrepancies between the Annex system and the paid order.

. Capture and review customs declarations (Checklist application).
 

Capture and ensure the veracity of the data in customs declarations. Example: correct declaration of identifiers, application of tariffs and non-tariff regulations and restrictions.

. Tax reports.

To give management visibility on what is spent on taxes regarding the import of non-productive material and to take the necessary measures. The reports are prepared monthly.

. Coordinate with customs agencies and domestic clients the shipment of machinery and equipment (return of unused equipment).

Export machinery and equipment that is not in use, as well as issue regularization invoices for equipment that does not have documents.

. Equipment reports (General Data base).
Have a reliable database of machinery and equipment since this information is auditable.

. Support in maintaining the company's certifications.
Actions focused on maintaining and obtaining the company's certifications.

. Boneyard inventory control.
Maintain up-to-date inventory of equipment, tools, and materials in the boneyard.

. Audit all processes that could affect the balances in the SCI such as Deviations, Engineering Changes, Receipts, Shipments, Scrap, to name a few.

Review compliance with the Deviations, Raw Material Importation, Receipts, Shipments, Scrap, etc. process and report the findings to management, and propose opportunities for improvement.

. Support in special situations when it comes to new projects.

Maintaining reports and follow-up related to imports and exports to ensure compliance with the IMMEX program.
Reviewing internal controls, conducting gap analyses, and developing action plans to ensure compliance.
Implementing and maintaining the necessary controls to maintain CTPAT certification and seek AEO certification.
Supporting the development and improvement of department processes.
Analyzing and reviewing monthly variations between the Inventory Control System and Oracle, implementing necessary improvements and coordinating corrective actions.
 

These responsibilities ensure the effective management of import-export operations while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

  For This Role, You Will Need:

 Foreign Trade or related degree (preferably)
 years' experience in a similar position.
 years' experience in a maquiladora environment.
 % English
 Knowledge of PRISMA Management.
 Knowledge of Gasoline.
 Knowledge of Customs Law.
 Coordination with customs agencies.
 Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOM).
 Knowledge of PRISMA, ORACLE, CAM.

 
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:


• Good knowledge of Mexican Customs Law and Foreign Trade Rules (RGCE) and other applicable import/export regulations.
• Experience obtaining and maintaining IVA and AEO certifications.
