Project Summary:
For the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and Journalists (PDP) is a program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). PDP aims to contribute to improving the institutional and operational capacity of governmental and non-governmental actors involved in the protection of human rights defenders and journalists. Through this program, it is intended to support the generation of a safer civic space for the exercise of freedom of expression and the defense of rights. PDP will work through August 2026 and engages with counterparts and allies at the federal and state levels.

Position Summary:
The Civil Society Organization (CSO) Capacity Strengthening Facilitators will provide training sessions to people from civil society organizations, public servants of protection or law enforcement bodies in a variety of topics such as: human rights, gender mainstreaming, freedom of expression, legal argumentation, protection of defenders of land, territory and the environment, risk analysis, context analysis, attention to victims, negotiation skills, teamwork, conflict resolution, work ethics, self-care, interrogation and cross-examination, forensic victimology, prevention, tools for emotional health, digital security tools, journalism and human rights advocacy, consensus building and group facilitation.
Responsibilities:
Provide face-to-face or virtual (hybrid model) theoretical-practical training program facilitation sessions of 4 or 8 hours from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm CDMX time, contemplating examples and exercises that relate the specialized themes. Prepare a descriptive letter and power point presentation and provide the facilitation session and prepare a two-page report on it.Perfil de la Compañía:

Por la Protección de Personas Defensoras y Periodistas (PDP) es un programa de la Agencia de los Estados Unidos para el Desarrollo Internacional (USAID). PDP tiene el objetivo de contribuir a mejorar la capacidad institucional y operativa de actores gubernamentales y no gubernamentales involucrados en la protección de las personas defensoras de derechos humanos y periodistas. A través de este programa, se pretende apoyar en la generación de un espacio cívico más seguro para el ejercicio de la libertad de expresión y la defensa de derechos. PDP trabajará hasta agosto de 2026 y realiza actividades con contrapartes y aliados a nivel federal y estatal.

Resumen del Cargo:
Esta consultoría tiene el objetivo de contratar distintas personas facilitadoras de acuerdo con su ámbito de expertis para impartir sesiones de capacitación a personas de organizaciones de sociedad civil, servidoras/es públicos de instancias de protección o procuración de justicia en temas diferentes tales como derechos humanos, transversalización de la perspectiva de género, libertad de expresión, libertad de expresión, protección integral a personas defensoras de derechos humanos y periodistas, análisis de riesgo, análisis de contexto, atención a víctimas, habilidades de negociación, trabajo en equipo, resolución de conflictos, ética en el trabajo, autocuidado, interrogatorio y contrainterrogatorio, victimología forense, prevención, herramientas para la salud emocional, herramientas de seguridad digital, periodismo y defensa de derechos humanos, construcción de consensos y facilitación de grupos.
Responsabilidades:
Impartir de manera presencial o virtual (modelo híbrido) sesiones de facilitación del programa de capacitación con las siguientes especificaciones: Sesión de 4 u 8 hrs en un horario de 10:00 am a 2:00 pm (horario CDMX). Las sesiones deberán ser teórico-prácticas, contemplar ejemplos y ejercicios que relacionen las temáticas especializadas. Elaborará carta descriptiva, presentación en PowerPoint, impartir la sesión de facilitación y elaborar un informe de dos cuartillas sobre la misma.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, law, international relations, communications or related required. Master's degree in human rights, equality, gender, criminal law, specialization in the accusatory criminal system, rights of indigenous peoples and communities, environmental law, or other preferred. Minimum five years of experience in capacity building with civil society, public servants or prosecutors' office staff required. Requisitos:
Licenciatura en ciencias sociales, derecho, relaciones internacionales, comunicación, o afines, requerida. Maestría o especialización en derechos humanos, igualdad, género, derecho penal, especialización en el sistema penal acusatorio, derechos de pueblos y comunidades indígenas, derecho ambiental, entre otras preferida. Por lo menos cinco años de experiencia en fortalecimiento de capacidades con sociedad civil, servidoras/es públicos o personal de las fiscalías.
