WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Brand Marketing Specialist to be part of our marketing team, based in Mexico City, covering several countries in the LATAM region. Someone that has a genuine connection to Football (Soccer), a relentless curiosity for the consumer, and a belief in our brand vision to create the future for Nike Football.

The understanding of the football (Soccer) scene, experience in bringing to life marketing tactics that are aligned to a high-level strategy, cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed team, and some experience and/or understanding of the LATAM main cities, especially Mexico City, are critical to this role.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As a Brand Marketing Specialist in Football (Soccer), your consumer and market insights will inform the strategy and Marketing Plans, your ideas will help land the tactics, your understanding of the product and processes will keep the Football (Soccer), team on time and with the requirements needed, and your talent will be key to bring to life the brand plan and support to your manager.

Activities of the role to execute the day to day demands of the Football (Soccer) field of play, plans and executions include support of the development of seasonal programming; support on delivering the integrated marketing plans and managing campaign progress measurement, including recapping and de-briefing; support in keeping healthy and strong relationships with Football (Soccer) its scene andcommunities; and support with product and purchase orders, arrivals, deliveries, and inventory.

This role will also lead and manage some key tactical executions that deliver on the overall integrated marketing plan.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

In this role you will report directly into the Brand Marketing Senior Manager Men’s Football, LATAM, working hand on hand with your counterparts in the Men´s Football team. You will begin as a contributor to fuel consumer demand and build our long-term connection with consumers in LATAM, focused on Mexico City. You will partner with our Mexico Marketing team, the Asia Pacific & Latin America (APLA) geography and Global Brand Marketing teams across Nike to build more effective and efficient ways to encourage and connect with athletes*.

Your key internal partners are Digital and Retail, Brand Creative, Sports Marketing, Integrated Media, Catalyst, and SCI Teams. Your key external partners are event production agencies, consumer research agencies, footballers, and football communities.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a closely related field. Minimum one year of experience in either brand building/marketing, consumer marketing or related experience in digital marketing. Genuine connection to and deep understanding of Football (and other sports), culture, and youth trends. Ability to think big picture, work cross functionally, have a curiosity for consumer insights/behaviors, multi-task and adapt to a constant changing environment. Business-level proficiency in English: both written and verbal, Keynote, Word, and Excel skills. Organization and follow-up skills.
