As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for developing detailed designs for structures using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software. You will work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure that designs are accurate, complete, and meet all applicable standards and codes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs for structures using CAD software
  • Interpret and ensure designs meet applicable standards and codes
  • Prepare design calculations and specifications
  • Work with engineers and project teams to ensure designs are accurate and complete
  • Collaborate with other designers and drafters to ensure consistency across projects
  • Review and check design work completed by others
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in structural design
  • Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, such as ACI, AISC, and ASCE
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software, such as SketchUp or Rhino, preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
