If you’re ready to bring the best, join the Finance team as an Accounting Advisor. You’ll be responsible for performing daily financial analysis and reports, and accounting and administrative activities while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements. Challenge current processes to identify standardization, simplification, or automation opportunities. You will issue basic financial PL and BS on Month End Close, ensure reports for management, and execute activities of the assigned financial and administrative processes to provide high-quality services to internal clients. Additionally, follow up with companies assigned for external audit (GBS or BU requirements) and update the close book requirements. This hybrid role is located in Querétaro, México, with the expectation to be in the office 3 days per week / 2 days at home office – subject to change. Travel is required on a demand basis (punctual field visits, specific ad-hoc projects).

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Governance, Risk Management & Business Controls: Review financial, managerial, and operating information for accuracy and timeliness. Apply quality and continuous improvement to control processes.
  • Accounting, Reporting & Operations: Deliver accurate and timely financial and managerial reports with minimal supervision. Display intellectual curiosity to enhance understanding of accounting fundamentals, Kellogg's business, and internal processes.
  • Tax, Treasury & Regulatory: Provide necessary information to the Tax & Treasury Department.
  • Creates Direction: Develop new ideas and innovative thinking. Make timely decisions.
  • Drives Alignment, Invests in People, Inspires & Energizes: Maintain professional, positive working relationships. Manage relationships with other GBS areas for audit requirements. Demonstrate persistence in overcoming obstacles and adversity.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a finance or business-related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Proficient PC skills with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP and other financial planning systems is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Advanced English proficiency is a plus.
