Financial Reporting Analyst
(This position could be hired at Mexico City or Guadalajara)
Role purpose:
Finance Operations are looking to establish a new capability in Mexico to support the Latin American sites Argentina, Uruguay & Chile. The Basel Regulatory reporting team is responsible for producing the (Prudential Regulatory Authority) PRA reports and Risk weighted assets (RWA) disclosures in the Group Annual Report & Accounts and for meeting all Pillar 1, Pillar 3 and Regulatory Management Information Reporting requirements under Basel 2/3 Framework.
The role will have functional reporting line into the Regulatory Reporting Lead for the Latin America region as well as a local entity manager. The role will be required to support key stakeholders based in Argentina, Uruguay & Chile and collaborate with team members based in India.
Main activities:
Preparation of regulatory reporting returns RWA within the scope of the local reporting and consolidated reporting to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) in a timely manner and to a high standard. Providing subject matter expertise to stakeholders across business, Risk and Finance as well as change initiatives (business transformation) on RWA actuals and on impact assessments on RWA. Contributing to the delivery of European Banking Authority (EBA) and Climate stress testing returns for the bank. Ensuring excellence in reporting and answers to ad-hoc regulatory requests. Supporting the delivery of the Regulatory Reporting transformation initiatives including strategic business decisions and mandatory regulatory changes. Requirements Good knowledge of balance sheet, banking, and financial products and how they impact regulatory reporting and more generically the banking business Bachelor’s degree or minimum, and proven and progressive financial services or banking experience, with a background in regulatory reporting and or Risk Strong written and oral communicate skills (English). Ability to communicate complex ideas (, relating to transactions/adoption of policies) in a simple manner to a global audience Ability to multi-task to ensure compliance with strict deadlines Excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations and be able to understand issues quickly Strong attention to detail and being solution orientedAt HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.
