PROCESS & VAA ENGINEER
Mission:
For our location in Silao (Greater Leon area), as part of the company’s NAFTA region, we are seeking a Process & VAA (Value Added Assembly) in the field of vehicle interior for premium automobile manufacturers.
The focus of the position is to lead the development, implementation and supporting the Overhead System assembly process, for different interior components, from its concepts phase to the serial production. Works with the Program Manager and other development functions on the Antolin Headliners Division.
As a part of the NAFTA team, the scope of the position will be supporting the process and development at the different locations on the territory.
Responsibilities:
-Conceptualization of the different areas from the Manufacturing Assembly Processes for Overhead Systems, Layout, labor, cost and assembly process strategy definition, to satisfy Customer requirements, based on process design standards and product design input data .
-Robotic applications developed for assembly processes.
-Development of Technical Specification Dossiers for Machinery & Equipment acquisition.
-Request for quotes and offers analysis, validation and comparison for PO issuance.
-Define the productive means (tools and machines) for prototypes manufacturing, including Technical Specifications & procurement process.
-Create the planning for all activities related to the assembly process development, including process and productive means design, productive means construction, implementation and validation. Regular follow-up to assure project milestones fulfilment.
-Development of process documentation (Initial Process Descriptions, Detail process descriptions, PFMEA, operator work instructions, layouts, etc).
-Documentation development for Production Part Approval Process (FMEA, Process Flow Diagram, Capacity Analysis Studies).
-Engineering Changes implementation during different project phases.
-Buy off of M&E at supplier facilities.
-Installation, set up, debugging & validation of new M&E.
-Establish action plan for NOK topics and follow up till full accomplishment.
-Operational trainings.
-Business Logic Acquisition & Data Extraction System (BLADE) set up for new process implementations.
-Suppliers’ management for success completion of commitments to support general planning and milestones.
-Participate on project’s audits (Internal and external in front of the customer and regulators like IATF, VDA, etc).
What we are looking for:
-Technical studies (Master) in the fields of Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, Automotive technology or equivalent.
-Minimum 2 years’ experience as a technical lead or equivalent as Process Engineering, Project management, Industrial Engineering or M&E Installation.
-English fluent being other additional languages skills highly considered (i.e.: German, Chinese, Korean, etc.)
-Knowledge of the lean manufacturing principles & continuous improvement.
-Knowledge of DFMEA / PFMEA tools.
-Availability to travel within Mexico, US and Europe.
You are also characterized by an analytically structured way of thinking and working, as well as very good communicator and having negotiation skills. You are resilient, flexible, proactive, and a team working player, dealing with conflicts, compromising, and also show initiative and ability to moderate.
