  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the U.S. payroll department, catering to more than 20,000 employees across 50 legal entities.
  • Manage a team of payroll professionals in executing payroll-related tasks according to predefined processing schedules for various pay groups, ensuring timely completion of payroll cycles and addressing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and holiday processing needs.
  • Adhere to established deadlines for payroll processing and reporting, including tax deposits, filings, and ACH deadlines, on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and annual basis.
  • Supervise payroll functions within Workbrain Online Time and Attendance (OTA), Workday Time Tracking, and Workday Payroll systems.
  • Ensure accurate input of payroll data through manual entry or Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) uploads, conducting audits to verify correct employee compensation.
  • Address pay calculation issues for union employees based on collective bargaining agreements, and for all staff in accordance with company policies and legislative mandates, resolving queries regarding taxes, garnishments, imputed income, pensions, benefit deductions, etc.
  • Conduct data analysis through report generation and using Excel tools (e.g., vlookups, index match, pivot tables).
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by meeting service level agreements (SLAs), promptly responding to inquiries, and processing requests in a timely manner.
  • Resolve escalated operational or policy concerns.
  • Ensure compliance by validating and addressing required controls as part of regular payroll processing (e.g., audit reports), promptly reporting any exceptions or discrepancies to management.
Hybrid job at Polanco|Advanced conversational English is essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • +8 years in Payroll Operations leading a team in the United States.
  • Bilingual profile. Fluent in English/Spanish (all interviews are conducted in English).
  • Experience with Workday HR/Payroll.
  • Advanced understanding of Federal and State regulations in the U.S. related to wages, taxes, benefits, and other Payroll-related matters.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership in multinational operations.
