Main responsibilities:

The task of the Productivity Buyer is to be responsible for improving the performance of the production suppliers (quality, cost, delivery) of several plants, in line with the purchasing strategy.

The main objectives of this profile are:

• Present to the Management and corporate the productivity plan and purchasing challenges in direct material to achieve the purchasing budget for the corresponding plants.

• Contribute to the identification and implementation of productivity actions (product / process) for cost reduction, in close coordination with commodity buyers, as well as the internal team in IP plant.

• Actively monitor the productivity performance of suppliers through multi-functional teamwork in the plants under their responsibility.

• Support in the monitoring and implementation of VA/VE projects.

• For operation-critical issues, support the supply chain team to improve the "Difference of Wrong Supplier Deliveries per Million" (MPM) indicator.

• Be involved in the "kick off" in the program phase for project launches.

• Meetings with program buyers, for the projects assigned to the plant and make the process of "passing the courier" from the platforms to the plants in the purchasing module and in relation to suppliers.

• Negotiation of prices originated by engineering changes as support of the commodity buyer and the productivity of the product.

• Workshops with suppliers and plant personnel to generate savings ideas that contribute to the IP and PPV KPI.

Skills and Competencies

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Engineering or Business. Desirable Specialty / Master in Purchasing or Supply Chain 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, in the automotive industry English Fluid Knowledge of Logistics, transportation, and foreign trade Knowledge of ISO/IATF /ISO /ISO /ISO regulations Knowledge of C-TPAT & NEEC
