What you’ll do in this role:
The Engineering Supervisor has daily responsibility for providing direct supervision to engineers and engineering technicians in one or more NPI programs, or functions , supporting the achievement of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People performance goals. Through strong cross-functional leadership competencies and adherence to Integer Values, you coordinate the alignment of resources and equipment in the most efficient and effective manner to achieve your functional goals. The supervisor is the primary interface between the engineers and engineering technicians and the other functions aligning to support ongoing manufacturing operations .
Build & develop teams:
You will be supervising, coaching, and directing a team of engineering technicians and engineers in support of one or more product lines or process areas within a manufacturing site.
As part of your responsibilities, you will establish daily/weekly/monthly objectives for your team members and ensure effective communications throughout the team. An element of these objectives include providing the active support for each of your direct reports to aspire to accomplish his/her Individual Development Plans as a roadmap to professional and personal skill’s development.
You are the first level support for resolving day-to-day issues as they are raised by members of your team and, after assessing the situation, you may seek cross functional and/or organizational support for resolution. To be successful, you will possess the technical understanding and the ability to apply procedures and concepts within your own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines.

Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements. Plans, executes and manages program activities utilizing cross-functional teams within a matrix organization. Translate customer inputs into the definition of scope, budget and resource requirements for engineering programs resulting in the delivery of a program proposal. Coordinate and assemble project teams, manage program budgets, ensure program milestones and deliverables are achieved through the management of the triple constraints of time, cost and scope. Manage programs across multiple manufacturing sites. Manage new product development introduction, manufacturing transfers, continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives. Develop customer relationships to help foster effective communication, establish program expectation and minimize program risks. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of external customer, suppliers and internal stakeholders including senior management. Identify program risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to maintain program expectations. Identify, create and communicate change of scope requests to program stakeholders. Instill leadership principles and accountability within projects teams. Foster open communication within the project teams to ensure barriers to program success are removed. Follows and develops Quality and Regulatory requirements including policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory requirements. Plans, Develops, and Executes Master Validation Plans, Process and Test Method Validations (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPQ) in accordance with procedures and guidelines. Applies and Promotes Lean manufacturing techniques to continuously improve cycle times and process flows. Identifies, supports, or directs the execution of improvement efforts to reduce waste in all manufacturing and business processes. Applies and leads DMAIC – Six Sigma approaches to solve issues and reduce variation in all manufacturing and business processes. Takes financial responsibility for activities to create positive impact to the business. Performs all duties and directs others creating a safe working environment for our employees and our communities.Your management style and how you are successful in the supervisory role:

You recognize that what you do not audit, does not happen, so a key element of your Leader Standard Work is to conduct audits of processes and product, including, but not limited to, 5S, Safety, Quality, and Engineering best practices, to ensure your team members and other Associates in the site adhere to Integer’s policies and procedures.
You will ensure ongoing training and development opportunities are afforded your team to ensure all are kept aware of latest standards, policies, procedures, technologies and job aids.
Provide technical leadership in support of Integer’s Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategies
Be a champion for the development of and deployment of the systems and tools to drive continuous improvement.

Demonstrated ability to follow and develop both Quality and Regulatory requirements. Proven track record of proactively managing risk to achieve business and customer objectives. Excellent communication skills, strong customer relationships, leadership skills and team building competencies. Must be able to distill complex technical content into brief, concise and understandable language when communicating status to management and the customer. Demonstrated leadership - mentoring of junior staff, motivation of diverse, cross-functional teams. The ability to work with all levels of staff through all company business units. Ability to work to a deadline and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Your experiences and accomplishments to date provide evidence that you are able to learn, retain, and apply knowledge. Having earned a bachelor’s degree - preferably in Manufacturing, Engineering, or another technical discipline - is one way to demonstrate your abilities. Other ways include sharing examples of accumulated technical learnings and experiences that link directly to outlined expectations of this role.
To be successful, you will have had manufacturing floor experiences where, at some point, you were directly supporting a manufacturing process or product line and/or the associated equipment or controls.
