Job description

The Supply Chain & Logistics Planner schedules projects for manufacture and assigns demand to assigned fabrication plants and reports to the Supply Chain organization. This role is critical to setting up manufacturing facilities to excel at delivering value to our customers as it negotiates and balances capacity utilization against customer project timelines and upstream handoffs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

Review un-scheduled project reporting Confirm project is ready for first-pass scheduling Compare project demands to network capacity(ies) and apply production, loading, & shipping dates Collaborate with Commercial organization on handling exceptions Maintain level scheduled production volumes within planning horizon Collaborate with other planners to execute cross-network supply and balance LT

Qualifications

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or operations management preferred. Must have: 3 to 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics as a planner. Team-orientated contributor; seamlessly support individual and team objectives Ability to establish priority amongst multiple demands to ensure the ‘right work’ is being executed Effective relationships within planning and supply chain, upstream with commercial, and downstream with manufacturing Exposure to Kaizen / continuous improvement highly preferable In lieu of above, willingness to work in small teams to analyze and improve workflow and existing standards Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Willingness to spend time on shop floor to understand how work flows through the plants and impact to cycle times
