About the role:

Responsible for overseeing and managing all activities related to payroll processing within the Mexico organization. This role involves implementing policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in employee payment processing and with local and labor laws.

Key responsibilities include:

Payroll Processing:

- Ensure that payroll processing is performed accurately and in a timely manner, including the collection of data on hours worked, deductions, and other relevant items.

- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring deadlines are met and data integrity is maintained.

- Act as a main contact for payroll related matter with external provider

- Ensure accuracy in payroll payment for employees in Mexico, including White collar & Blue collar populations.

- Define the annual payment calendars including all special pay cycles such as productivity bonuses, profit sharing, vacation premiums, Christmas bonus and merit increases.

- Ensure the process of the payment of the special pay cycles. (food coupons, Christmas bonus, etc)

- Oversee the processing of benefits, such as insurance, vacations, and retirement plans

- Manages payment of rewards programs for employees (Buddy, Referred, productivity bonus)

Regulatory Compliance:

- Manage all required paperwork for the tax deduction, allowances, and bonuses

- Ensure compliance with all labor, tax, and social security regulations in payroll processing, minimum wages, overtime, and other legal requirements according to local labor laws.

Policies and Procedures:

- Develop, implement, and maintain clear and up-to-date policies and procedures related to payroll processing, ensuring best practices are followed and operational efficiency is promoted.

- Have a continuous improvement agenda to validate all the payroll and time & attendance procedures to look for opportunity areas, and ensure that all the people involved are aware of the changes.

Audit and Reconciliation:

- Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of records, as well as to identify and correct any errors or discrepancies.

- Correct administration of salary movements in payroll, based on procedure, ensuring their payment in time and form, as well as the necessary improvements to comply with "0" incorrect payments.

- Attention to internal and external audits, including those determined by the labor authority about general conditions and extraordinary from profit sharing.

- Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, wages, deductions, taxes, and other compensation-related items.

- Ensure the accuracy in the daily records information in Time & Attendance system Atoss

Payroll System Management:

- Collaborate with the HRIS team to ensure proper functioning of payroll systems and integration with other human resources and accounting management systems/procedures to provide a better service and functionality for his internal and external clients.

- Ensure the proper functioning of payroll systems (ATOSS, SF, odessa), as well as clock terminals

- Work on various HRIS projects including, but not limit to system updates, and system migrations.

Analysis and Reporting:

- Perform data analysis related to payroll to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and potential risks, and prepare reports and presentations for senior management or functional areas.

- Oversee the analysis of timesheet reviews to confirm that all records are accurate

- Report to management on payroll issues and changes on a weekly & monthly basis.

Labor Relations:

- Work closely with the human resources team and other stakeholders to address any issues or inquiries related to employee payroll.

- Report salary changes, new hires registrations and terminations to the payroll provider

- Respond to any questions from employees regarding payroll.

- Update of employee information in payroll, checking system and Success Factors.

People Development:

- Ensure the knowledge of operational personnel to access their payroll information when required.

- Advice the leaders to ensure the correct usability of the different platforms of time & attendance and payroll.

- Manage and develop material for training all the users in success factors and Atoss

About you:

● Bachelor degree in Business Administration, HR Management, engineering or similar plus at least 5 years of related work experience

● Software knowledge, ERP

● Knowledge of continuous improvement tools

● Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting commitments and project timelines.

● Strong team management abilities.

● Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with numerical data.

● Strong communication skills and ability to establish effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

● Proficient in Excel, managing data & business acumen.

● Proficient experience in payroll process

● Thorough knowledge of labor, tax, and social security regulations.

● Project Management Experience.
