**SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.**This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit located in Saltillo, Coahuila, México.**Summary (About this Position)**:Fixture Design Engineer, Design, coordinate the purchase and construction of tools and fixtures for our Validation Test Laboratory.**Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities)**:- Fixtures and tools design, developing 3D models and 2D drawings- Quote, coordinate the purchase and construction of tools and fixtures- Verification, fixture assembly, and reworks when required- Maintain and control of fixture warehouse- Maintain and control the fixture database- Keep Lab layout updated- Housekeeping / safety standards- Generate design proposals and improvements for any special assigned or required project- Ensure compliance to EOS, A2LA policies, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements- Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements**Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves)**:- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or similar- Proficient in Unigraphics NX (3D modeling and 2D drawings)- Team Work- Effective communication- Decision Making- Work under pressure- Drawings interpretation- Component general knowledge- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)- Intermediate level of English (reading and writing).**Your Preferred Background (i.e. Nice to Haves)**:- 1+ years’ experience in automotive industry 3D modeling and 2D drawings.- Familiarity with Automotive Products- GD&T basic knowledge- Master's degree in Design- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.)- Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics- Resourcefully innovative and adapts in a rapidly changing environment- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently- Strong presence, poise and persuasiveness to establish a high level of credibility quicklyAptiv is an equal employment opportunity employer.
