Software Engineer – Backend Location: Mexico City (CDMX), Mexico Your Mission As a Software Engineer you develop high quality, performing and scaling software solutions and constantly bring value to our customers in close team collaboration with other engineering roles. Responsibilities Plan new and valuable features within the team and implement them in bi‑weekly sprints with a big emphasis on stability and long‑term quality of our software. Improving and developing MIC´s products from idea to production and over their whole lifecycle (implementing, testing, reviewing and documenting). Work mainly with our core technologies, JavaEE and Oracle Databases (PL/SQL). Depending on the team and your personal preference, you will also work with technologies like React, Kubernetes, Quarkus, Python, etc. Skills and Qualifications Degree in computer science or IT and some years of relevant working experience. Cross‑functional team player with high‑quality awareness & strong analytical skills. Independent and structured way of working paired with the drive to continuously grow and learn. Good Java and Database skills. Knowledge in the area of CI/CD and Container‑Technologies is a plus. Proficient in English (written & spoken), Spanish (native).
