Electrical & Controls Engineer

Overview The Electrical & control engineer is responsible for the project design, planning and execution relevant to the power, electricals (medium & low voltage), networks architectures, controls & automation scope of the projects. The role includes delivering digital tools/assets in new installations or modifications to current operations. Through qualifications, the job owner ensures that all projects comply with site controls strategy, internal and external electrical standards, and mandates. He / She has responsibility for defined project objectives, the coordination of work processes and ensuring an effective prompt communication sequence between the various site areas and the involved contractors. What are we looking for? B.Tech/B.E (Instrumentation, Electronics, Automation, Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics or similar) plus relevant experience FMCG and Food manufacturing preferred. Good programming/troubleshooting skills. Thorough electrical/controls understanding and supporting experience. Hands on with PLC (Programmable Logical Controller) and VFD (Variable frequency Drive) programming. Fair understanding and experience on digital initiatives as per Industries 4.0 standard. Experience on concept design and delivery of production batching & continuous systems. IT/OT architecture knowledge Self-management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactively tracking them. Lifelong learner capable of attaining necessary professional qualifications and continual technical development. Strong knowledge and skills in Allen Bradley PLCs (Studio 5000) & HMI FactoryTalk View SE and ME, and capability to find bugs and programming issues. High knowledge in diverse instruments for food industry, different types of signals and its commissioning Strong knowledge and skills in industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet I/P, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, EtherCAT, OPC, capabilities to develop and validate network architectures and topologies. Knowledge of CCTV and Control Access Systems High knowledge in low voltage such as 220VAC, 440VAC, and DC power supply. Knowledge in medium voltage such as 13.2kV or 34.5kV and electrical substations. High knowledge in robotics and artificial vision systems such as ABB, FANUC, COGNEX. What will be your key responsibilities? He/she supports the project-engineering team in the preparation, installation and commissioning of new machinery / equipment / system and parts related to PC&IS area standards. He is accountable for full sub-projects, ensuring the proper interactions with the site team members and stakeholders. Will conceptualize, design, and deliver full automation/digitalization solutions (process, packaging & utilities) aligned with MARS global standards, to enable the correct automation of the projects under his command or in the ones where he is part of a larger team. During the project execution, he coordinates the contractors, prepares, and monitors operational plans and manages the cost. Provide technical support & coordinates training activities with contractors/suppliers during start-up activities. Being subject matter expert on electrical & controls, support site engineering on issues related to electrical & controls. Effective communication with other teams including operational, R&D, quality, engineering (cluster, regional, global) and maintenance areas. He is responsible for his/her area for compliance with Mars standards as well as all relevant regulations he/she ensures that all directives on occupational safety, hygiene and fire protection are met. He must guarantee that the solutions delivered in his projects are aligned with the site digitalization roadmap, either delivering implemented solutions or systems enabled for future integration into the factory digitalization journey. He must be capable of understanding complex automation & electrical engineering designs and project proposals, in terms of accomplishment of local and international standards & regulations, proven technologies, proper structure, right calculations or sizing. Based on this understanding, must be capable of challenging suppliers or contractors where he find opportunity areas or mistakes in these designs or proposals. What can you expect from Mars?
