**What your background should look like**:Day-to-day responsibilities and scope of roleWork with multi-functional project teams consisting of Sales, Product Management, Project Management, Manufacturing Development, Operations, & QualityWork on design of product line extensions using pertinent information to ensure accuracy and precision in production of the productWork on VAVE (Value Add Value Engineer) projects for existing product lines to bring down cost and increase product competitivenessEvaluate and make decisions on manufacturing deviation requestsManage tool transfer and first article approvals as requiredCoordinate with product testing labs (internal and external) for product validation & qualification testingWrite Product and Manufacturing change notifications as required for responsible productsEvaluate and implement material changes including polymers, metals, and platingComplete First Article Approvals, Process Capability Studies, & 8D reports as requiredWork with Product Management and Engineering Documentation Systems to support Digital Part Content initiativesTechnical skills and technology neededStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated with effective problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to proactively drive projects with mínimal guidance or supervisionAbility and willingness to provide input on technical solutions both product and manufacturing relatedAbility to work with multicultural engineering teamsKnowledge of basic quality trouble shooting techniquesKnowledge of Tolerance analysis and statistical analysis toolsKnowledge of manufacturing processes, including over molding a plusExperienced in using Microsoft Office Tools.Use of 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (Creo) CAD software preferredMinimum 3 years post university experienceFluent in spoken and written EnglishEducation Background: Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical EngineeringElectrical Interconnect and Power Connector Design Experience a plusExperience with Sealing Specifications (IP) a plus**Competencies**:- Values: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation
