Dynatrace Automation Engineer

Zurich Capability Center is looking for: Dynatrace Automation Engineer Job Accountabilities This position will be on a team dedicated to providing recommendations and instrumenting those approved recommendations in Zurich North America’s (ZNA) monitoring tools. Utilize technology and collaborative skills to provide design expertise for the introduction of new solutions and services in support of the Business strategy. Collaborate with all peers and partners (internal and external) Monitor systems availability/performance and takes adequate actions for problem prevention in own area of responsibility. Maintain monitoring tools to ensure service availability and performance. Support business projects in planning stages to ensure consistent design and implementation within existing (planned) infrastructure. Perform integration in the application performance management / web infrastructure space, on Windows & Java platforms, requiring coding experience. Work with system and application owners to obtain existing design and functionality. Assist teams in incident response investigations and problem analysis. Assist with the writing of reports on incident findings to appropriate teams. Work across technology and development teams to diagnose outages due to inadequate monitoring instrumentation designs and then recommend changes to increase reliability. Provide technological input for implementation and operation. Enhance documentation where applicable. Business Travel, as required Extended Hours during Peak Periods/Shift Work/Holiday Work, as required Skills Monitoring and troubleshooting experience with one or more of the following monitoring tools, DynaTrace, Appdynamics, ExtraHop, ThousandEyes Splunk/ITSI, SolarWinds, ScienceLogic, WireShark, Gigamon, Microfocus BPM or Aternity, Datadog, Nagios, New Relic, ManageEngine Applications Manager. (Dynatrace or ExtraHop preferred) Hands‑on experience in writing scripts in java script, Powershell, *nix shell, python etc.. Ability to work independently with little supervision, self‑starter who is highly motivated. Exhibit an aptitude/ability to learn the Zurich multi‑cloud environment. Preferred Experience in one or more Technology Areas (Network, Windows, Desktop, Unix/Linux, AWS or Azure Cloud, WebSphere Middleware, Java/JS Development, Databases such as: Microsoft, DB2, or Oracle). Experience working with key indicators for IT system operability, reliability, application performance and code quality. Experience with the following tools: Dynatrace, ExtraHop, ThousandEyes, Wireshark, Gigamon. Experience with Automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, etc… Experience in service virtualization, AWS or Azure Cloud technologies, and IaaS, SaaS and PaaS implementation. Experience in troubleshooting at the network level. Experience in Agile and Scrum methodology. Customer service experience Dynatrace Certified Professional or Associate Education and Experience Bachelors degree and 3 or more years of experience in the information technology area or Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the information technology area or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the information technology area MS Office experience Knowledge of information technology operations Preferred Strong analytical skills Customer service experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Who we are Looking for a challenging and inspiring work environment where you can make a difference?
