We are seeking a Mechanical Design engineer with +3 years of experience for our Mexico City office. The position involves frequent interaction with other offices throughout the world. Our engineers develop their skills through working on diverse projects, our knowledge-sharing culture, a career mentoring program, and collaborating with top professionals in the industry.- We offer unique opportunities to travel and see the world while you learn, with projects around the world to take you on a career-enhancing experience and adventure.**The Role**:Would you like to be part of a multi-disciplined Hydro-Mechanical team that specializes in the design and implementation of pumping & piping systems, hydropower facilities, wind turbines, tailing management and process systems?A firm understanding of the below is required.- Turbomachinery and control equipment (gates, valves, chokes) as well as an advanced familiarity understanding of the relevant U.S. & international codes for pipe, materials, & equipment (ASME, AWWA, API, ASTM, ANSI, AWS, BS, ISO).- Electrical, instrumentation and controls to allow for an effective and efficient collaboration with the electrical design team.**Responsibilities**:- Hydraulic, process, mechanical and piping design- Participate in all project phases: conceptual design, feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering and construction support.- Assist in the development of studies from concept to implementation.- Develop the preparation of drawings, P&IDs and schematics.- Produce piping and instrumentation data sheets, valve lists, and line lists.- 3D modeling of piping systems, pumping skids, support structures, and miscellaneous steel using software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D or SolidWorks.- Develop concepts, feasibility & detailed designs for pumping & piping systems.- Conduct review and model coordination using Navisworks or equivalent tools.- Collaborate with civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure integrated designs.**Requirements**:- Bilingual in Spanish and English- B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering- Collaborative team player- 3+ years relevant experience- Knowledge of turbomachinery & hydraulic systems- Analytical experience in fluid dynamics**Preferred or Beneficial Experience / Skills**:- Experience in the conveyance of non-Newtonian fluids and settling / non-settling slurries.- Firm understanding of electrical instrumentation & controls.- Pipe stress analyses.- Knowledge of modeling software such as ANSYS, Fathom / Impulse, Plant, Revit or SolidWorks.- Knowledge of Balance of Plant (BoP) systems.
