We are committed to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our supply chain operations.**Position Overview**:The Buyer will manage procurement activities for **New Product Introduction (NPI) and MRO** materials, supporting production goals and ensuring supply continuity. This role requires strategic thinking, strong supplier management, and the ability to optimize cost, quality, and lead times in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.**Key Responsibilities**:- Manage purchasing for **NPI projects and MRO materials**, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to meet company standards and project requirements.- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value-added solutions.- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to align procurement with operational needs.- Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and procurement KPIs to ensure continuous supply.- Analyze spend, identify opportunities for consolidation, and recommend improvements.- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and global trade regulations.**Required Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in **Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field**.- 2-3 years of experience in **purchasing for NPI, MRO, or indirect materials** in a manufacturing environment.- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.- Knowledge of sourcing processes, cost analysis, and procurement tools.- **Advanced English** is required for communication with global suppliers and teams.- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.**Preferred Skills**:- Experience with **ERP systems** (SAP, JD Edwards, or similar).- Familiarity with **Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies**.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global environment.**Why Join Nidec Amec**:- Be part of a **global company** leading innovation in electric motor technology.- Opportunities for **professional growth and career development**.- Collaborative and inclusive work environment focused on safety and excellence.**Equal Opportunity Employer Statement**:**Nidec Amec** is a global company and an equal opportunity employer.
