Dematic is seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our Procurement Supply Chain Solutions team. This person will be responsible for supporting procurement activities and objectives within a factory environment.The Strategic Buyer will drive strategy of the category in Monterrey Mexico. We offer international assignments for qualified employees and wherever possible, we offer flexible working hours and modern workspace design.Learn More Here:Tasks and Qualifications:This is What you Will Do in This Role:- Procurement of direct materials for multiple categories such as: metal fabrication, electronics, motors, belts, plastics and others.- Participate and facilitate in new program quote activities involving pricing reviews with cross-functional stakeholder team members.- Identify and drive cost reduction initiatives through VAVE/scale negotiations/New suppliers- Participate and facilitate in new program quote activities involving pricing reviews with cross-functional stakeholder team members- Make sourcing arrangements and determine optimal quality, lead time and pricing for customer service requirements- Develop and coordinate set up of new suppliers (if needed) to support requirements for customers- Forecast and record savings achieved to help meet department goal- Formulate purchasing strategies and plans / executes multifunctional projects.- Effectively negotiates terms and conditions of purchase.- Reports results of established KPIs to Procurement Manager.- Team player who owns the responsibility of sourcing in time and according to the purchasing strategies, making sure his tactical counterpart has always the necessary information to order material through SAP.- Leads cross-functional teams and/or similar for the accomplishment of related goals.- Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish.- Manages time and responsibilities despite the location, i.e. supplier location, home, business trip.- Conducts himself following Dematic’ s rules of ethic and compliance.- PPVs review on category through the region.- Perform Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers.- Perform risk analysis identification under its supply base with action plans to mitigate any.What We Are Looking For:**Education**:- College Degree, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related- Conversational English skills.- Master's Degree is a plus.**Skills**:- Negotiation- Teamwork- Goal driven- Effective Communication- Ability to resolve conflicts and issues- Leadership- Analytical thinking- Persuasion- Ability to perform a business plan- Interpersonal skills
