Strategic Buyer

Dematic, A Kion Company, is looking for an Indirect Procurement MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operating) Strategic Buyer to join our winning team in Fort Worth TX. This MRO Strategic Buyer is a newly created role which will support the MRO Category Lead, will be responsible for the sourcing activities for MRO category of Indirect Procurement.It is expected that the Strategic Buyer will act as the central point of contact for Dematic and Kion facilities in the North American region that require Indirect Procurement support. The Strategic Buyer will collaborate with other sub-functions within Procurement but also with cross-functional team members as required, as well as participation in global alignment and collaboration efforts with other Kion regions.**What we offer:**:Responsible for supporting the MRO Category its corresponding supplier base in North America by managing the sourcing activities at the site level in the North American locations.Purchasing of MRO supplies and services in multiple locations for MRO subcategories such as: Office Supplies, Health & Safety Equipment & Services, Hand Tools, Packaging, and other related consumables)Facilitate new sourcing quote activities involving pricing reviews with cross-functional stakeholder team members.Perform all aspects of the supplier relationship including but not limited: supplier vetting, onboarding, continuous improvement and off-boarding.onboarding of new suppliers (if needed) to support requirements for the stakeholders.Team player who owns the responsibility of sourcing in time and according to the purchasing strategies,Implement and ensure compliance to category / sub-category strategy by monitoring the MRO supplier base, and pool business accordingly.Ensure compliance with KION (parent company) Procurement policy across all Purchasing activities.,Able to collaborate with all internal stakeholders, as well as with the Global Indirect Procurement team and any relevant Global Sourcing initiatives.Improve and implement standardization for assigned category (standard documents, common services & goods)Contract Management, ensure transparency of all contracts, reviewing terms and validities frequently.Continuous Improvement of available Procedures and Systems in respect of Indirect PurchasingGlobal alignment and collaboration in case of potential synergies with KION EMEA and APAC regions.Analyze Purchasing data, ensure data transparency and high data quality for the MRO category.Reporting of cost saving potentials and achievements as well as cost avoidance by using the established Procurement templates and tools.Perform risk analysis identification under its supply base with action plans to mitigate any.Effectively negotiates terms and conditions of purchase**Tasks and Qualifications:**:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or related discipline5+ years of relevant Purchasing experience with emphasis on the MRO category (Office Supplies, Health & Safety Equipment & Services, Hand Tools, Packaging, and other related consumables)Excellent project management, communication and organizational skillsProficient decision making and analytical problem-solving skillsExperienced in supplier negotiation strategiesCertified Professional Supply Management (CPSM) (preferred)Strong leadership qualities with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter with competitive, assertive and positive attitudeOperates with mínimal business directionStrong capabilities in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAPEmbodies KION Group Values of Integrity, Collaboration, Courage, and Excellence.Operate with a sense of business urgency
