**Job Summary**:The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting for the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and adherence to financial principles. This role involves managing accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and providing strategic support to the finance team. The Senior Accountant will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve financial processes and maintain fiscal integrity.**Main Responsibilities (Descriptive but Not Limiting)**:- Oversee the execution of all accounting functions for the organization to ensure accurate financial management.- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with national fiscal regulations and NIF (Normas de Información Financiera) principles.- Manage various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.- Assist with tax audits and the preparation of tax returns, ensuring all reporting is completed timely and accurately.- Assess internal controls to identify areas of improvement and implement best practices.- Ensure compliance with fiscal regulations in Mexico and international accounting standards.- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure data integrity.- Reconcile account balances and bank statements to maintain accurate financial records.- Maintain the general ledger and oversee month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and precise reporting.- Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting operations and reporting tasks.- Provide technical support and strategic advice on finance management to improve financial performance.- Supervise accounting assistants and bookkeepers, providing guidance to support their professional development.- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.- Participate in the development of financial standards and internal control management.- Collaborate with the Financial Manager and headquarters to enhance financial and accounting procedures.**Requirements**:- Proven experience as an Accounting Supervisor, Chief, or Senior Accountant.- Thorough knowledge of basic and advanced accounting procedures.- In-depth understanding of fiscal compliance in Mexico and international accounting standards.- Familiarity with financial accounting statements and financial reporting.- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.- Exceptional numerical aptitude and quantitative skills.- Excellent teamwork and a positive attitude in a collaborative work environment.- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.- Updated knowledge of current Mexican tax laws and all legal tax obligations.- Previous experience in the logistics industry is preferred.- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.- Certified Accountant with professional title and license.Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completo, Por tiempo indeterminadoSueldo: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 al mesTipo de jornada:- Incluye fines de semana- Turno de 8 horasLugar de trabajo: Empleo presencialFecha de inicio prevista: 03/09/2024
