We are hiring a** Proposal Manager**, responsible for managing and leading the Steelcase sales proposal and/or presentation process for prioritized sales opportunities.**What You Will Be DoingThis role engages in the sales process when a specific opportunity has been identified. Working in partnership with the sales organization, this role leads internal, sales and dealer/partner resources to understand the request, select and align resources, prepare proposal strategy, assign responsibilities, manage the process, and ensure timely, accurate, branded, and compelling content is prepared and delivered. This role requires some supervision/guidance at key moments.**Who You Are:**Required Skills and Competencies- Bachelor’s degree, in Communications, Business, or Design.- Advanced English is required.- 3-5 years of experience in project management/program management.- Demonstrates project management skills including organization, role definition, scheduling, work completion, communications and process management.- 3-5 years of experience in sales or sales support, marketing or similar industry experience is required.- Demonstrates foundational understanding of the principles, concepts and practices of the proposal management profession.- Negotiate and communicate effectively with clients to close sales opportunities.- Collaborate with Steelcase Sales, dealer partners, Pricing and Contracts teams and other SMEs to develop winning proposals.**Preferred Skills and Competencies- Experience with large-scale sales opportunities and broad business understanding.- Collaborate with Steelcase Sales, dealer partners, Pricing and Contracts teams and other SMEs to develop winning proposals.- Strong ability to listen, understand and contribute to sales and proposal strategy development.- Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting and able to manage/coordinate internal/external cross-functional teams under tight timeframes.- Versatile problem solver who is focused on achieving results within short timeframes.**Why People Choose to Work With Us:At Steelcase, we put people at the center of everything we do.
