**Job Details****_Primary Purpose: _**- The CFS Country Compliance Lead acts as the Corporate’s financial expert for the Americas region. This position is involved in all aspects of general accounting and audit.- The CFS Country Compliance Lead coordinates financial functions in the business units (e.g. CBU er, Country Controller, Plant Controller) and centralized financial services (e.g. Central Accounting, Shared Services) to all the JCI business units in the region.- The CFS Country Compliance Lead coordinates the statutory financial statements and any other local compliance reports accordance with Local GAAP and applicable tax rules in Americas.- The CFS Country Compliance Lead performs Local GAAP audits and supports the US GAAP audits. This position serves as central point of contact for external auditors and local financial authorities.- The CFS Country Compliance Lead supports compliance with local financial statutory and tax regulations (e.g. publishing of reports and documents, requirements for ERP systems). Support for accounting and controlling of all non-operational legal entities/ledgers.- Monthly, quarterly and annual closing for all non-operational legal entities/ ledgers and support in the closing on legal entity/country level.**_Primary Duties: _****_Accounting: _**- Responsible for supporting the monthly closing of the Corporate/Operative ledgers for any project involved, including review of monthly closing journal entries and documentation of project;- Prepares reporting of Local GAAP results to Local Tax Team on a monthly basis which consist in the Statutory Trial Balance and basic financial statements per Legal Entity in scope;- Clear control and understanding over US GAAP to Local GAAP working papers.- Review of general ledger reconciliations as per SOX responsibility matrix;- Coordinates internal and external audits;- Records adjustments from US GAAP to Local GAAP;- Review statutory financial statements including notes and related minutes on a yearly basis;- Support plants, shared services centers and central functions regarding accounting/financial issues;- Assists with financial reporting schedules;- Supports / implements Corporate initiatives;- Active participation in legal entity rationalization or restructuring projects;- Involved in issues dealing with shared service centers within the region, primarily those which impact accounting and tax activities;- Support on ERP implementation deployments for local purposes (in country)**_Tax: _**- Closely cooperates with Corporate Tax colleagues;- Support income tax returns and tax audits;- Support the accomplishment of electronic accounting rules in a monthly basis in country specific- Assists with tax reporting schedules;**_Job Specifications: _**- At least 5 years auditing experience, as preferred in one of the Big Four worldwide firms or 5 years in a Multinational entity- Fluent in English (it is a “must”)- Ability to work well independently and coordinate a high-performance team.- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles (USGAAP, IFRS, GAAPs in LATAM)- Excellent communication skills and customer focused approach- Familiarity with problem solving and process improvement techniques- Hands on mentality- Flexible- Eager to learn- Johnson Controls does not request pregnancy or HIV testing as a requirement for admission, permanence or promotion. _LI-JC1
