The Prod Ctrl Sr. Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to drive efforts to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L and balance sheet reporting. Responsibilities Manage a team of professionals and ensure the quality and timeliness of daily tasks. Contribute to standards that others will adhere to. Resolve complex and varied issues escalating anomalies and issues, as needed and proposing appropriate course of action. Conduct individual performance evaluation and career planning/development for team members. Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Ability to manage teams. Responsible for daily production and analysis of profit & loss (P&L), profit attribution analysis and balance sheet reporting for the trading businesses. Assist in month end closing process including General Ledger entries, balance sheet substantiation and P&L reporting to ensure the accuracy of legal entity, regional, regulatory and external financial statements. Develop strong understanding of specific cash and derivative products of the trading businesses. Hands‑on management of approximately 15 team members in Mexico City performing daily Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis and reporting. Embed a culture of effective challenge, maintain a robust control environment, as well as timely and transparent communication of insightful financial analysis. Partner with Valuation Controllers to understand financial impact of independent price verification and other Fair Value Adjustments. Qualifications 6-10 years of relevant experience. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication. Bachelor’s degree required, Finance and/or Accounting degree preferred; Master’s degree preferred. Desired 10+ years business experience with strong understanding of core financial and/or accounting principles, preferably in the financial services industry. Very strong Microsoft computer skills required (Excel/pivots and graphics experience required, PowerPoint). Strong analytical thinker, detail orientated, and strong organizational skills essential. Motivated self-starter to work in a professionally challenging and demanding environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written required. Ability to work as a member of the team as well as independently. Product knowledge and Financial Control previous experience a plus; regulatory exposure a plus. Project management background and experience a plus; must have ability to multi-task across multiple projects. Experience in process improvement, process mapping, quality standards, and/or building best practice process/tools preferred; pro‑active process improvement and efficiency mindset essential.
