They are responsible for the overall management of services and equipment that support the core operations of an organization, including maintenance, security, cleaning, and other support services. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing facility management policies, overseeing building projects and renovations, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of facility operations and maintenance.**Responsibilities**:Overall Management- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the facilities department- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective facility management- Monitor and maintain facility budget, including expenses and cost saving initiatives- Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility needs are met and resources are utilized effectivelyMaintenance and Repairs- Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair projects for all facilities- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors for facility repairs and services- Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed in a timely and cost-effective mannerSafety and Security- Implement and enforce safety and security protocols for all facilities- Conduct regular safety and security audits and make necessary improvements- Manage emergency response plans and procedures for facilities in case of any emergencies- Maintain compliance with all safety and security regulations and standardsSpace Planning and Utilization- Plan and implement space utilization strategies to optimize the use of facilities- Coordinate office and building moves and reconfigurations as needed- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations for all spaces- Conduct space assessments and make recommendations for improvementsContract and Lease Management- Negotiate and manage contracts for facility services, including janitorial, landscaping, and security services- Review and renew leases for facilities- Monitor and enforce tenant compliance with lease agreements- Manage relationships with landlords and property management companiesTeam Management:- Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, feedback, and support.- Set goals and KPIs for team members and monitor performance.- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.- Develop and implement training programs to keep team members updated on trends and strategies.High Impact Behaviors:- Strategic Decision Making: A manager must be able to assess complex situations, consider long-term implications, and make decisions that align with the organization’s vision and goals.
