This team shapes the middle-mile transportation execution and develops innovative transportation management concepts. The goal is to improve and enhance the Amazon Transportation Network. The ultimate aim is to drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner, every time.The ATS MX Transportation Operation Management (TOM) team is looking for an Area Manager with a strong delivery record, proven ability to drive process improvement, people management experience, and ability to motivate reporting team members to meet the challenges of an on-time driven environment.Key job responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team focused on yard operations, aligning Fulfillment Center operation with transportation execution.- Plan and manage yard capacity and trailer pool for designated site.- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.- Drive high safety standards for all yard operations, ensuring safe work environment for Amazon and non-Amazon workers.- Audit and ensure compliance to all standard work, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental regulations- Meet and exceed operational goals.- Own area performance metrics and communicate them to TOM and site leadershipA day in the lifeAs part of Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), you’ll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using road and air transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you’ll help Amazon’s transport run at maximum efficiency.
