Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.**Role**:Responsible for leading the materials procurement team, managing all purchased materials, ensuring their availability at the points of use, as well as maintaining optimal inventory levels that keep the business competitive.Activities are focused on proper planning and execution, but also on effective and timely communication with our internal and external clients.Important relationship with our suppliers and negotiation skills- Ensure the availability of material to meet production plans- Lead the team in the execution of materials dispatch- Plan and execute actions focused on inventory reduction- Participate in senior leadership reporting forums- Have timely communication and escalation of supply opportunities to mitigate impacts**Degree Requirement**:- Bachelor's degree in administration, business, international relations, commerce, any engineering or similar field.- Intermediate Conversational English**What You Have**:**Planning**:- Execute activities based on strategic planning- Understands and aligns with corporate objectives- Efficiently use all resources to achieve objectives**Decision Making and Critical Thinking**:- Properly analyze the options before making a decision- Has critical thinking, often outside the box- Seek to go beyond the obvious until you find the origin of the problem.- Thinking oriented towards the definitive solution of the problem**Problem Solving**:- Use techniques to identify the root cause of the problem- Use creativity and logic when practicing problem solving- Knowledge in data analytics- Let people participate in the solution generation process- Boost team creativity and leadership**Inventory Management**:- Knowledge of optimal inventory levels- Using systems and tools to manage requirements and solve problems- Knowledge use of ERP (SAP)- Ability to analyze and make decisions regarding coverage parameters- Extreme ownership to involve the team in goals and objective**Supply Chain Management**:- Significant knowledge of how the supply chain works- Intellectual curiosity to understand how other departments within the supply chain work- Global analysis capacity to understand opportunities and react to contingencies- Master’s degree- Conversational English- APICS CPIM CSCP Certification- Skills in team management- Advanced use of ERP (SAP)**Additional Information**:- Location: Santa Catarina- This position will require to travel 15% (Domestic and International)- Valid Travel Visa is required- Domestic Relocation assistance is available for this position.- Don’t forget to include a resumé in English in your profile in Workday**Final details****The Caterpillar Code of Conduct states that we will select, and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.
