TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.**Key Responsibilities**:- Research and identify prospective suppliers and manufacturers- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers- Analyze and compare supplier pricing to determine the best deals- Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies- Monitor and assess supplier performance- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to forecast the future supply needs- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers- Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices**What your background should look like**:- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the following areas:- Procurement and/or Strategic Sourcing- Supplier Management- Supplier Performance Monitoring (strongly preferred)- Manufacturing Industry Exposure- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with other relevant tools- Experience with SAP PR2 or S/4 HANA (preferred)- Solid knowledge of data analysis tools- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal- Project management experience (preferred)- Proven ability to design and implement globally impactful sourcing strategies- Strong understanding of Contract Manufacturing Models (highly desirable)- Contract evaluation and negotiation with suppliers- Supplier development and performance evaluation- Cost analysis of manufacturing with suppliers or contractorsLI-RemoteLocation: México.Travel: 10-25%**Competencies**:- Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork
