Responsibilities The Opportunity The Field Network Technical Lead acts as the key bridge between Network Delivery and Field Site Operations, ensuring stable, secure, and resilient network connectivity across North America field sites. This role proactively monitors performance, identifies improvement opportunities, and drives initiatives that enhance reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency. The position is responsible for enforcing network standards, supporting delivery projects, and minimizing downtime by coordinating across engineering, operations, and managed service providers. Your Impact As Field Network Technical Lead your scope would consist of Partner with Network Delivery to ensure new site designs and implementations meet enterprise architecture, security, and operational standards. Review business requirements for greenfield sites and provide appropriate classification and design validation. Collaborate with Managed Service Providers (MSP) and Field Site Managers to implement network enhancements based on operational insights and incident trends. Conduct performance analysis to identify gaps, prioritize improvements, and validate deployment readiness. Travel to field sites across North America to assess infrastructure, ensure compliance with standards, and recommend optimizations. Manage network incident escalations, perform root cause analysis, and drive cross-functional coordination to restore services promptly. Provide expert-level support and guidance across LAN, Wireless, Routing, Switching, Security, and MSP management areas. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in network engineering, operations, or infrastructure support within large enterprise environments. Strong expertise in routing, switching, wireless, and security technologies. Hands‑on experience with Cisco networking solutions and monitoring tools such as DNAC, ThousandEyes, or SolarWinds. Proven ability to collaborate across delivery, operations, and vendor teams to maintain network stability and performance. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
