Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.**This role in summary**:**Your responsibilities will include**:- **Provide strategic and operational support for assigned commodity spend within the Motors & Pumps commodity business team, supporting Whirlpool’s 13 North America assembly and manufacturing plants.**- **Actively develop and manage strategic supplier relationships while managing risk and compliance (contract negotiations, new product readiness, availability, purchase order maintenance, technical projects, RFQ / market testing, etc.).**- **Build partnerships across all brands and product categories. Engage Marketing, Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Design to generate, and execute with speed, solutions to improve Whirlpool Corp performance.**- **Support the tracking of assigned commodity financial performance through accurate monthly forecasting and long range planning.**- **Drive extraordinary results in meeting critical revenue, cost, quality, delivery, and service objectives.****Minimum requirements**:- **Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering**- **3+ years experience in a supply chain / procurement function****Preferred skills and experiences**:- **Demonstrated practical use of supplier management and sourcing principles**- **Demonstrated experience in negotiation and contract management of direct material commodities of relevant spend. Applicable commodities: Electronics, Electromechanical, Motors, Cooling, Heating, Glass, Injection Molding, Stampings and Value Add Assemblies**- **Ability to work with multiple stakeholders (e.g. business units, functions and regions) to deliver results in a highly matrixed organization**- **Understanding of financial forecasting process and material price variance measurement**- **Demonstrated ability for problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail**- **Ability to manage and prioritize multiple key activities**- **Demonstrated use of project management skills**- **Willingness to travel periodically, both domestic and international**Connect with us and learn more about Whirlpool CorporationSee what it's like to work at Whirlpool by visiting Whirlpool Careers.
