Kan Ban Coordinator

Job Description:Kanban Coordinator (KBC)- The Kanban Coordinator (KBC) will be responsible for setting inventory levels through the use of Kanban and maintaining inventory levels that support production rates. KBC ensures that material flow from supplier to the facility is on time and maintains delivery standards as set-forth in the Terex Materials Management System and Terex Production System. Maintains and facilitates timely order and delivery of parts, components, and supplies to support production and service parts. Responsible for communicating any potential or actual expedite needs to Buyers and concerned parties. This role is also responsible to coordinate materials and production schedules with multiple teams; to solve urgent problems associated with manufacture of products; and document and communicate production outcomes and trendsEssential**Responsibilities**:- Supervising Materials feeding staff and daily activities.- Establishes and maintains standard work and procedures for warehouse operations & Materials feeding.- Management of team members, including training, and performance management- Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.- Develops plans and actions for continuous improvement.- Utilizes problem solving tools and methods to resolve performance issues.- Adherence to AOP (annual budget)- Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy- Orders materials using standard signals and ordering practices to conform to daily production requirements- Identifies and resolves daily material issues, facilitating or ordering necessary parts, components, and supplies for production variance due to part shortages- Identifies and communicates all potential and real schedule variances for on-time delivery to their customer. Works to resolve such issues and develops alternate methods or supplier relationships as needed to ensure continued production and manufacturing flow- Responsible for setting inventory levels through the use of Kanban (MRP/sequence pull as directed)- Maintain accurate locations in the PFEP system and on Kanban cards for all purchased and withdrawal loops. Perform daily audits to ensure the integrity of the system- Ensure that the delivery vessels (bins, totes, and racks) used for production materials meet the standards required for safe transport between supplier and Genie. These vessels must be right sized for safe handling and for the part quantity established for this Kanban or part- Assists Kanban Coordinators, Buyers/Planners and other Materials support team to develop, interpret, and convert intermediate-term plans into action plans- Responsible for the correct materials feeding to production supermarket/Facility.- Kitting and delivering material on time to Production Supermarket/production.- Always keep materials correctly identified- Keep organize and clean work area that helps to make the flow of materials in the warehouse more efficient- Consult inventory information in the system- Enters and retrieves production information onto a computerized data entry screen or custom-designed form- Follow all the safety rules, standard works, procedures and collaborates in maintaining the inventory accuracy.**Qualifications**:- Knowledge and skills surrounding Material flow within a production system lean concepts and process, as well as production planning with on-time delivery of supplies to internal customers- Working knowledge of Kanban systems, buyer/planner responsibilities and process as well as overall materials systems knowledge- Depth of knowledge surrounding flow systems, as well as quality products being delivered within a TAKT time- Strong influencing skills as needed to negotiate changes with vendors and manufacturing teams- Enthusiasm for working in a fast paced, “hands-on” manufacturing environment- Flexible with strong teamwork orientation.- Forklift operator certification & experience preferred- Demonstrated understanding of “Lean Principles”- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement change- Intermediate skills with MS Excel, Word, and Access- Excellent problem-solving skills- Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to establish strong working relationships with customers and suppliersAbilities- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment- Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience coaching and training others.- Operate in a fast paced, continuous improvement environment.- Assess and improve material and information flow.- Develop and document standard work.If you are interested in an open position but feel you may not meet all the listed qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.Terex Overview:At Terex, we fully embrace the increasingly diverse world around us and strive to create an empowering and welcoming wo
