Job DescriptionThe Sr. Product Specialist is responsible for partnering with the Product Manager on the global ownership of configured packaged variable frequency drives (VFD’s) through the Integrated Drives business unit. This role will assist in the creation, marketing, maintenance and commercial support of various configured drive programs. There are opportunities to drive P/L growth and work with key stakeholders to execute on each of the product lines identified.
Leadership in supporting the product lines include: strategic planning, voice of customer, customer product alignment, pricing, negotiations, forecasting, portfolio promotion, competitive analysis, and product lifecycle management. This role will oversee the execution on specific product areas such as manufacturing strategy, delivery, customer satisfaction, and productivity. A key growth area is the scoping, execution and implementation of the PowerFlex 755T configured drive program. This also will include the commercial facing tools that sales and distribution uses to select the proper solution.
Another important aspect of creating growth within the PowerFlex 755T configured drives program is driving a commercial launch strategy of product promotion. The role requires global support and promotion to various regions - NA, EMEA, AP and LA. There will be opportunities for direct customer collaboration. The Sr.
Product Specialist will also provide the short-term and long-term strategic business direction and how it aligns with development, operations and engineering service partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance and maintain configured drive portfolio, including optimized PowerFlex 755T program.- Provide leadership and execute on migrating business to IDB. This includes guiding a team to implement processes and procedures for order execution.- Develop competitive pricing strategy to drive business growth.- Actively promote the configured drives portfolio on industry calls, power calls and other sales and customer facing methods.- Create partnerships with engineering staff to align customer expectations with development of standard product.- Ownership of configured drives customer relationships and assist with addressing inquiries and issues.- Strong communication skills to direct the actions of engineering, manufacturing, sales and operations partners.- Help support legacy configured packaged drives for product obsolescence, last time buys and component replacements to support active volume and revenue.
