POSITION SUMMARY We’re looking for an Android Engineer to join our Core UX Team, building high-quality mobile experiences that directly impact EarnIn’s customers. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Android development, a passion for user experience, and a drive to collaborate across mobile and product teams. While the primary focus is Android, we value engineers open to broadening their impact, learning from iOS and backend peers to deliver features end-to-end.You’ll work closely withdesigners, iOS engineers, and backend partnersto deliver and maintain intuitive, scalable features. You’ll have opportunities fortechnical ownership, cross-platform collaboration,andongoing growth. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.WHAT YOU'LL DO Build and maintain Android mobile featuresthat support seamless, accessible, and cohesive user experiences. Collaboratewith product and design partners to translate UX ideas intoreliable, maintainable UIusing Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns. Collaborate with iOS and backend engineers to ensure seamless cross-platform cohesion and effective backend integration. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in Kotlin, following modern development paradigms. Participate insprint planning, code reviews,andcross-platform discussions with teams working on Android, iOS, and the backend. Help diagnose and fix production issuesand contribute toperformance tuning, accessibility,andUX instrumentation. Work closely with QA and productto validate features and ensure high-quality releases. Proactively engage in team learning, knowledge sharing, and embracing new tools and technologies. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s degreein Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in Kotlinand modern Android development paradigms, including Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines, and Android architecture components. Experience withdevelopment and debugging toolslike Android Studio, profiling tools, Crashlytics, and Git. Strong collaboration skillsand the ability to contribute to user-focused, cross-functional solutions. Solid understanding ofUX principles, mobile interaction patterns,anddesign system alignment. Good testing practices, includingunit and UI testingto support code quality and stability. Clear communication and collaboration skillsin distributed team environments. 3+ yearsof Android development experience in production environments. Experience working infast-paced, iterative teamsusing Agile or similar methodologies.
