Sr Supplier Quality Engineer

As Sr Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating technical communication with suppliers as a link between the Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering departments to address issues related to Supplier quality. Manage with these departments the necessary quality metrics, Supplier Plan Improvements, SCAR's (Requirement of Corrective Actions of Suppliers), and audits with suppliers that require to improve quality levels, provide RMA's (Material Return Authorization), material correction and improve the overall Quality performance with Resideo.**JOB DUTIES**:Support in Component Analysis and Follow-up of actions when necessary to support the Manufacturing and Quality teamManage vendor corrective actionsImplement contingency actions with the Supplier BaseIdentify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actionsEvaluate supplier systems and conduct gap analysis where requiredFollow-up with suppliers, Engineering and Commodity Managers as requiredParticipation in the evaluation and feedback of reworked partsSupport in the disposition of the rejected parts.Monitor supplier quality performance and give feedback to suppliers.Supplier audits to support production needs in accordance with the Resideo Quality SystemDrive Supplier Evaluation Audits of new suppliersResponsible for the Part approval processParticipate in Kaizen events, conduct and document continuous improvement (CI) projects.Prepare and present metrics associated with quality trends and related improvements within the supply baseEvaluate supplier capability based on 6 Sigma methodologiesTrain associates, suppliers, and contract personnel in Six Sigma techniques, Manufacturing Process Control, variation reduction, etcWork on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factorsHave wide-ranging experience, use professional concepts and company objectives, internal and external contacts to resolve complex issues in creative and effective waysProvide technical insight to analyze risks and opportunities**YOU MUST HAVE**:Bachelor's degree (Electrotonic, Mechatronic or Electromechanical preferably)Minimum 7 years of experience in Supplier Quality or related activitiesFluent in EnglishNo travel restrictionsWork well under pressure**WE VALUE**:A Master's degree is a plusLarge project management experienceCurrent ASQ CQA or CQE certification is highly desirable, as is a RAB auditor accreditationExperience using Six Sigma techniques and Green belt certificationComprehensive knowledge of advanced Quality engineering practicesA recognized authority in the area of expertise and or products with wide versatility of experience and capabilitySignificant experience with quality assurance processesA high level of interpersonal skills is required to handle difficult situations as well as diffuse interpersonal conflict effectivelySelf-motivated and able to get results with mínimal supervision and oversightHands-on experience with quality assurance processesExperience in leading teams focused on problem-solving and driving supplier improvementsGood organizational and project management skillsBe able to work in an office and production floor environment.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?Resideo's benefits above Mexican lawProfessional growth in a great place to workLI-CR1**About Us**: Resideo is a leading global provider of critical comfort and security solutions primarily in residential environments and distributor of low-voltage electronic and security products.
