And we’re passionate down to our bones about making whatever you’re listening to a little more magical.The engineering team at Bose is a thriving, passionate, deeply skilled team of professionals from a broad range of disciplines and experiences, who share a common goal—to create products that provide transformative sound experiences.Job DescriptionNPDE Test Technician (level IV)Reports to: NPDE Engineering Technician CoordinatorGENERAL DESCRIPTIONProvide support to NPDE ICT/ FCT Test Engineering with focus on ICT/ FCT test programs and assembly of fixtures.GENERAL FUNCTIONS- Ensure test fixtures and programs work properly complying with designed test times and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements.- Documents procedures and creates reports.SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS- Recollect and procure materials required for NPI runs such as fixtures, samples, or components.- Execute all required reworks on test fixtures’ wiring or additional circuitry.- Provide support to NPI runs: ICT, flying probe, offline programming, or functional bench/ tester verifications.- Generate and debug Flying probe programs, provide failure details to repair techs if required.- Identify current test coverage and work towards maximizing it.- Verification and report of ESD and strain gage verifications applied to ICT/ FCT fixtures.- Follow up on NPI run yield performance, analyzing failures on current and previous runs.- Perform weekly report of worked hours assigned to specific cost centers.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS- Minimum 4 to 6 years’ experience in bed-of-nails test fixtures, Keysight 3070 and FCT testers.- Knowledge in Electronics concepts should be able to interpret a schematic.- Knowledge in text-based programming languages and Unix/Linux OS commands.- Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).- Desired knowledge on Flying Prober tester.- Desired knowledge on ARIBA procurement platform.- Desired knowledge on XJTAG hardware and software.- Desired programming knowledge in LabView, Test Stand, Lab Window CVI, C or similar related.- Desired knowledge on Mfg. plant shipping and receiving coordination.- Technical degree in Electronics, Electromechanical, computer science or related career. 3+ years of working experience in similar position.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- NPIP: (50%)- Execute all required preparation activities to support NPI runs. This may include fixture or test program adjustments, tester alterations, corrections, or new software.- Attend NPI meetings to get schedule of NPI runs and communicate any issues.- Continuous Improvement: (25%)- Follow up on NPIP run performance (Yield, Test time & test coverage).- Identify potential improvement opportunities on ICT/ FCT related processes.- Report worked hours to proper Cost centers.- Document all verification activities on fixtures (report creation).- Equipment Assembly and Procurement: (25%)- Perform Equipment adjustments for production floor introduction.- Execute equipment, parts, and services purchases.- Organize and maintain inventory of spare parts & accessories.If you believe you need a reasonable accommodation, please send a note to
