Job DescriptionLead Advanced Test EngineerReports to: NPDE Manager Grade Level: Test Engineer IV (level C)**Job Description**:**Responsibilities**:- Supervise and manage the NPDE Advanced Test Engineer group and workload.- Represent test manufacturing as part of the new product development team.- Assess critical design & component attributes for use in PCB assembly process development- Drive test deliverables - documentation, quality issues, yields and cycle time goals.- Support prototype manufacturing processes, with emphasis on early risk identification & resolution- Data collection and analysis of proto build results to drive process and design improvements- Specify, order and support capital equipment purchases**Skills**:- Prior experience in test electronics manufacturing.- Strong Electronics’ background in automotive, medical, aviation and/ or commercial products.- Knowledge on test methodologies such as Flying Probe, in-circuit, In-Serial programming and / or Functional test,- Experience in test equipment and fixture design & development as well as capital equipment specifications.- Must be able to work collaboratively with local and remote design and manufacturing teams.- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills- Training in structured problem-solving tools: 5-Why, 8-D, DMAIC or similar.- Ability to develop and utilize APQP tools: PFMEA & CP.- Experience in solving complex technical test design issues and product related.Education Requirements- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Electronics or Computer Science).Professional Work Experience Requirements- Greater than 6 years working in electronics manufacturing with responsibility for Test development.- Experience must include new product introduction & new process development activities.
