Local Inbound and Packing Specialist

**Aufgaben**:- Local Inbound and Packing Specialist- Main Objectives:- Responsible to assure the Mexican local transportation network normal operation and expedited process to guaranty the supply of parts on time to the Joint Venture Plant.- Responsible to monitor and support for all the Joint Venture Plant packing operation: new packing development, packing supply chain and returnable empty rack Management.- Responsible of budget planning and project improvement related to local transportation and packing.Main:- Local Inbound: Integrated planning and controlling on the inbound local supply chain of parts from local supplier to the Joint Venture Plant; monitoring operational performance of the Joint Venture Plant in the Local SCM operation to ensure target compliance in terms of quality, costs and deadlines, if is necessary, design countermeasure and coordination for the problem solution of all the involved parts; suppliers, carries and the Joint Venture Plant. Coordination with Mercedes-Benz entity to design and implement carrier structure to ensure the correct carrier capacity and high service level for the plant. Follow for the correct contract renewal with the carriers and invoice clearing review to ensure the correct payment to the carriers.- Expedited Local: Controlling and approval of additional transportation service, root cause analysis to implement countermeasures with the production plant to decrease the expedite services.- New packaging Development: Participation with the Joint Venture Plant and suppliers to develop the optimal packaging concept having in consideration the plant requirement (Ergonomics dimensions, etc) and logistic cost efficient. Coordination for packaging adjustment due to engineer changes or plant requirements. Improvement validation and implementation in cooperation with Joint Venture Plant Logistic department. Support in scalation topics and coordination with Mercedes-Benz departments in Mexico and Germany.- Packing Supplier Claims: Follow up on the packaging claims looking for the solution in conjunction with the Joint Venture Plant and supplier. Support in scalation topics and coordination with Mercedes-Benz departments in Mexico and Germany.- Returnable empty racks management: Monitoring of the stock levels in plant on ensure the correct logistic flow of the packing fleet. Support the Joint Venture Plant in scalation topics with suppliers to ensure correct distribution of the fleet in the supply chain.- Budget Planning & Projects: Participation with the finance controlling for the definition of the budget of the local & packaging, confirmation that all the costs are correct according the legal contract for the correct payment to the supplier. Lead and execute strategic projects to help reduce costs and maintain service levels.**Qualifikationen**:**Qualifications**:1. Education:Master or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Industrial / Electrical Engineering or Master or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or comparable acquired expertise with new product launches.2. Language(s):Spanish technical and business fluent.English technical and business fluent.German technical and business desired.3. Work Experience:3 years or more related professional experience.4. Technical Knowledge:Knowledge of logistics processes (in automotive context desired).Desired: experience with Mercedes-Benz systems (SAP, DIALOG, START).5. Corporate Skills:Good Interpersonal skill and good team player, especially good sense on intercultural communication.Able to multitask and strong attention to the details.Project Management and conceptual process capability in complex situations.Coordination and assertiveness across functions and hierarchical boundaries.Strong intercultural and social skills; above average communication and conflict ability.Flexibility in dealing with business partners, suppliers and customers (also: willingness to travel).High level of motivation and passion for the automobile.Integrity and compliance with corporate values/standard.
