**SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.**This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit located in Saltillo, Coahuila, México.**Summary (About this Position)**:Mechanical Technician performing test in our Validation Test Laboratory**Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities)**:- Participate in troubleshooting- Implement continuous improvement projects- Maintain system documentation- Perform standard engineering test measurements according to standards.- Prepare test samples according to methods and/or standards.- Record test data- Maintain housekeeping/safety standards- Prepare test reports documenting the sample preparation, test methods, equipment, and conditions.- Test samples disposal as required.**Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves)**:- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or similar- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical concepts- Interpretation of electrical and mechanical drawings- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)- Knowledge using bench test equipment (DMMs, Force Tester, Pressure Gages, Hipot Tester, etc)- 60% English**Your Preferred Background (i.e. Nice to Haves)**:- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or similar- Experience in mechanical measurements in a Laboratory environment- 1+ years’ experience in automotive industry validation laboratory environment- Familiarity with Automotive Products Validation Process and Terms.Aptiv is an equal employment opportunity employer.
