As a top ranked U.S. company among the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World, we take our global footprint seriously.Job Title:Senior Corporate AccountantCompany:PrologisPosition Responsibilities- Conscientious, detail-oriented and generates accurate financial results/reports.- Meet requested and required deadlines with assistance in prioritizing the monthly tasks included in Property Accounting checklist and special requests.- Perform advanced accounting functions for Fund Accounting responsibilities per guidelines provided.- Support in emission of financial statements (monthly, quarterly and annually depending on Fund requirements) including statement of changes in equity, statement of cash flow and footnotes to financial statements according to the Fund or JV requirements, if applicable.- Analyzes and explains variances in financial results (budget/forecast to actual and month-to-month.)- Preparation and/or review of standard monthly journal entries.- Document certain accounting policies, processes and controls.- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.- Review accuracy of corporate accountant work.- Propose, recommend and independently implement process improvements.- Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations.- Review and analysis of financial statements and supporting schedules for reporting to internal management. Communicate with other departments and teams to obtain information needed to complete analysis.- Understand internal control systems and monitor processes for potential weaknesses.Essential Skills & Experience- Accounting degree from college or university.- 2-3 Years of accounting experience required. Experience in public accounting or in a global corporate accounting environment strongly preferred.- Ability to communicate in English.- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
