Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.**Role Definition**Design toolings and devices to produce cast iron products including patterns for no-bake and core boxes for cold box process, while ensuring safety and performance standards.**What you will do (includes but not limited to)**:- Design foundry toolings to produce cast iron products for no-bake process, including gating system, core prints, parting lines, core setting strategy and fixtures.- Complying with safety, health, and environmental guidelines and participating in continuous improvement of the procedures while designing new tooling and fixtures.- Pursuing improvements and innovation to eliminate change over time, and improve safety, ergonomics, and quality.- Attending meetings for product design review to contribute ideas to facilitate manufacturability.- Conducting project reviews with suppliers.- Conduct on-site supplier audits and collaboration for production and projects- Up to 50% travel**Requirements**:- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Manufacturing Engineering- Minimum of 5 year of foundry tooling (design, testing, and production) experience- Knowledge on designing foundry toolings and components on 3D CAD modeling softwares as Creo- Knowledge on MagmaSoft simulation- Fluent in English speaking and writing- Fluent in English speaking and writing**Desired Skills**Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.**Level Working Knowledge**:- Provides a quality of service that customers describe as excellent.- Resolves common customer problems.- Responds to unexpected customer requests with a sense of urgency and positive action.- Provides direct service to internal or external customers.- Documents customer complaints in a timely manner.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.**Level Working Knowledge**:- Applies an assigned technique for critical thinking in a decision-making process.- Identifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas.- Participates in documenting data, ideas, players, stakeholders, and processes.- Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns.- Assists in assessing risks, benefits and consideration of alternatives.**Level Working Knowledge**:- Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.- Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.- Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.- Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.- Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.**Managing Multiple Priorities**:Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.**Level Working Knowledge**:- Recognizes changing demands and priorities; validates changes with management.- Obtains information about how current assignments contribute to organizational goals.- Completes current work according to assigned priorities.- Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work.- Performs at least 2-3 concurrent activities without reducing productivity.**Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance**:Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.**Level Basic Understanding**:- Attends EHS policy compliance related training or seminars.- Identifies the objectives, principles, arrangements and practices of EHS policy.- Describes EHS policies that are applicable to the products and services in the organization.- Discusses the importance and rationale of EHS policy compliance.**Caterpillar's Code of Conduct states that we will select and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender
