About the job:Red Hat’s Telco, Media and Entertainment Customer Success & Services team is seeking a Sustaining Cloud Architect whose primary responsibility will be providing deep technical assistance around our vetted telecommunication reference architecture. This team works alongside professional services to drive adoption of Red Hat's 5G/RAN platform solutions and provide on-going Day 2 support for telecommunications service providers. You will serve as an evangelist by sharing a joint vision for Red Hat's multi-product solutions, positioning Red Hat as an innovator, and spreading awareness of our open source emerging technologies.What you will do:- Engage in deep technical knowledge sessions with our consulting services group.- Creation of training documentation to ensure deep technical expertise within the team.- Working closely with product business units, product engineering, consulting, and sales to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hat’s products.- Contributing to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale. Designing and scoping delivery projects as well as leading consulting teams through successful customer pilot and production deployments.- Designing, creating and delivering technical content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell, service, and support our NFV solutions at scale.- Coach members to accomplish project goals and meet established schedules.- Monitor and/or facilitate scrum ceremonies, including backlog grooming, daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.What you will bring:- English, Spanish and/or Brazilian Portuguese as a plus- 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in the Telco/Enterprise IT industry- Knowledge of one or more Communications Service Provider markets- Specific knowledge in NFV/SDN area- Understanding of advanced networking concepts (data center and wide area networking, tunneling technologies and overlay networking, security policies, topology discovery, path computation)- Specific knowledge in Mobile (5G, 4G, 3G, 2G) and/or Fixed networks (network architectures, service models, service provisioning)- Proven track record of working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior Telco network and business executives- Proven ability to work seamlessly with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers- Deep understanding of ETSI NFV architecture and the Telco main use-cases (vCPE, vEPC, vCDN, vIMS, vRAN, etc)- Demonstrated ability to learn and educate others on rapidly changing technology and strategies to maintain a broad skill set in common enterprise IT technologies across development, automation, and operations- Willingness to travel to client locations when neededDesired skills:- Familiarity with technologies like Open VSwitch, OpenFlow, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet, 802.1Q, GRE, VXLAN, L2VPN, MPLS, BGP, IS-IS. LACP, DHCP, DNS, NTP, PTP etc- Deep knowledge of telecom technologies, industry trends (network architectures, technologies, services) used in wireline, wireless, cable operators;- Working knowledge of Data path acceleration such as SR-IOV, DPDK, VPP/fd.io- Broad and deep technical experience with virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g. OpenShift, OpenStack, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, Ansible)- Scripting/Programming knowledge (Puppet, Ruby, Python, Golang etc) preferredLI-JR1LI-REMOTE
