Production Manager

Job Opening : Production Manager Summary : Supervises salaried personnel, directing manufacturing operations within area of responsibility. Scope of responsibility includes : (A) Processing raw materials through production and assembly operations. (B) Ensuring adherence to production schedules, expediting production, controlling the flow of material, maintain controlled accounts of production in process and end products produced to ensure a continuous and efficient flow of production. (C) Ensuring that all employees are directed in a firm, fair and consistent manner, and that a safe and highly productive environment is always maintained. Prepares and make sure to comply with the production schedule accordingly to the customers' demands. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Warranty the production process in accordance with current manufacturing practices and safety standard operating procedures. Evaluate, implement, and monitor the process and operating systems of the injection molding press. Monitor, adjust and issue current or new production processes to improve efficiency or equipment for safety, quality, and productivity. Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products. Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements. Measure and record efficiency data associated with operating equipment. Implement process to clean production equipment or work areas, maintain 5S. Coordinate with service departments to resolve production problems and schedules and to organize the most cost-efficient use of machinery and staff. Provide updates and status reports to Management. Support business partners / departments with quality issues. Maintain an awareness of customer shipping requirements, work schedules, quality levels and the staffing required to meet these requirements. Evaluate, train and coach everyone in the area to ensure the potential for personal career growth. Ensure that short term / long term staffing requirements will be met. Develop and implement programs for the reduction of scrap and absenteeism, the economic use of manufacturing supplies, and the compliance with safety and housekeeping standards. Assist in the development of plant wide management objectives and profit plans. Establish and monitor procedures to control total manufacturing costs with particular emphasis on labor variances and direct materials. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Fluent English. Excellent computer skills; experience in Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional knowledge of CAD, GD&T, 5S, Gating, runner design, gate velocity and tool design, MRP, JIT, Kanban, SPC, Blueprint and part print reading skills, Lean Manufacturing. Strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain a skilled team focused on customer expectations, teamwork, continuous improvement, and lean initiatives. High volume production experience with automated machining, assembly, and tooling experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations. Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor / lead other team members. Solucionar problemas con equipos, dispositivos o productos. Planificar y diseñar el trabajo para cumplir con los requisitos de producción y cronograma. Medir y registrar datos de eficiencia asociados con el equipo operativo. Implementar procesos para limpiar equipos de producción o áreas de trabajo, mantener 5S.
