If you'd like to help us build and expand our cloud services in México, this is your chance to make history.The position responsibilities will include Install/Deliver/Operate network and compute infrastructure across several data center locations, be responsible for day to day assistance with capacity management and data center operations, including Break & Fix support. Will work closely with both internal and external customers and vendors to facilitate very fast paced and smooth projects executions.Key job responsibilities- Be prudent and be competent in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software and fiber connectivity all combined with a proven project delivery methodology.- Follow agreed timelines as there are high levels of autonomous work where you will need to be comfortable working individually to ensure the stability and sustainability of AWS next-generation networks.- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.- Probably 12hrs straight working shifts an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.- Work with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling and always think about ways to improve the current procedures and processes.- Receive, Install and Deploy new racks and new network and compute equipment.- Perform cabling, labelling, certification and patching of server positions to network equipment.- Perform inventory of tools, materials and spare parts.- Provide Break & Fix support for all the network, storage and compute equipment and services.- Provide full Data Center basic operations, including facilities and IT support.- Manage/Update work through ticketing system and workflows.- Partner with multiple stakeholders to remove project’s obstacles.- Broad knowledge with major networking operating systems (Cisco IOS, Cisco NXOS, JunOS, etc). - Professional experience with IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE, COBIT) and Operational Excellence concepts or methodologies is a plus. - Experience with small to large, complex project scopes and ambiguous details within work environment. - Good understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers, Switches, Load Balancers and Firewalls, Compute servers, Racks, and pieces such as FCPU, RAM, Disk, FAN, PSU, etc. - Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements.
