As the Product line purchasing Leader, you will play an important role of the interface between Aptiv’s Supply Chain organization and business unit. You will be ensuring that Supply Chain Management category strategies are implemented in both new pursuits and programs under execution. Your goal will be to ensure flawless launch of the bill of material at targeted financial metrics. You will drive Material cost improvement process in areas of Price to Price, Engineering and Logistics which is instrumental to overall product line’s success.To us nothing is impossible, you will have autonomy to explore your curiosity, having fun and celebrating success along the way. Reporting to the Global Product line Purchasing manager.**My Role**:- Drive all supplier/material cost related activities, throughout all project phases in order to attain Business Case requirements for the Product Line- Support target price definition during project pursuit. Identify new suppliers for innovative products. Obtain initial quotes from suppliers. Interact closely with Aptiv’s Category Organization and Start Centers to get target cost established before project start- Coordinate with Engineering and related Project Team members to ensure flawless program execution relative to supplier topics (e.g. Sourcing, Early Containment, Change Management, etc)- Identify measures to meet/exceed material cost assumptions within project. Promote Design savings ideas.- Act as interface into the Aptiv’s Supply Chain Organization**My Background**:- Education: Engineering or Business Degree- Min. 3 years automotive business experience in Purchasing, Program Management and/or Advanced Quality Planning- Fluent in English- Experience with large Automotive supplier would be preferred- Very good negotiation skills- Interested in understanding technical challenges and eager to learn- Structured Problem Solving- Computer competency (MS Office, SAP)- Ability to work and communicate with different cultures- Willingness to travel**Aptiv Rewards & Advantages**:- Interesting career in a leading, world-recognized company;- Opportunity to professional growth and personal development in an international environment- Ability to implement own ideas and solutions**Some see differences.
