**Communications Manager, Mexico - Hybrid (Greater Mexico City)**Change.org is searching for a **Communications Manager **to join our small but mighty team in **Mexico** who will report to our Associate Marketing and Communications Director.Embark on an exciting journey **leading Change.org's Communications team in Mexico,** where you'll successfully amplify the powerful narratives of petition starters across diverse media and digital landscapes. We’re just getting started and hope you’ll join usIn the last decade in Mexico, from the mobilization against the Maya train to the campaign to increase vacation days, many nation wide movements were born on Change.org. From the campaign Cáncer Warriors to ask for the release of the elephant Eli, dozens of local, national and international victories are happening every day thanks to the power of our users who are changing our country.**Key Outcomes**:**_ In this role, you will be balancing your time between hands-on tactical communications work (80% of your time) and people management responsibilities (20%)._**- Lead Communications teams in Mexico to implement the global strategy across owned and earned media. Manage a small comms squad to amplify compelling petitions and movements on Change.org and drive impact and brand awareness around campaigns in México.- Divide work to support petition starters to get media attention, reach decision makers, organize digital and in-person tactics, etc. Lead on the storytelling of these impact moments to Change.org users and a wider media audience.- Demonstrate measurable improvement in desired brand perception in Mexico- Contribute to growth in platform activity and revenue in Mexico- Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, organizations, activists, decision makers and community leaders in key issue areas to facilitate the use of our platform for social change.- Collaborate with other functional leads to hone a global brand strategy, contributing to department strategy, goals and culture.**The most important skills and capabilities for the role are**:- A strong background in marketing, communications, and brand management- Track record of success developing and executing multi-channel campaigns powered by creative storytelling that drive perception change and inspire action from key audience- Notable experience leveraging organic social media and influencer relationships for business impact- Experience leading a corporate communications program, including crisis management- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and performance manage a team**Communications**:- You are** advanced in comms outreach skills. **You have a flair for creative media relations or engaging multimedia strategies and you're an expert in some specific outreach skills.
